Keith Pounds brings nearly 20 years of litigation consulting experience to his role as a Jury Consulting Advisor at IMS Legal Strategies. He is adept at helping clients identify and develop compelling case themes and presentation strategies.Keith provides IMS clients with quantitative and qualitative analysis through focus groups and mock trials, in addition to assisting attorneys with witness preparation, voir dire, and jury selection. He enjoys working with attorneys on complicated cases and finding ways to make the story resonate with jurors.An expert in the fields of communication and storytelling, Keith’s practice area covers a variety of industries in venues across the country. He has worked on many complex high-exposure cases, including antitrust, patent, trade secret, contract, whistleblower, employment, professional malpractice, product liability, and securities litigation. Prior to becoming a full-time jury consultant, Keith spent seven years in academia. During this period, he began working in a consultative nature with clients facing high-stakes litigation and assisting with case strategy, theme development, and effective delivery. Keith even developed a system for teaching attorneys to use storytelling techniques to enhance their legal arsenal. He now puts these finely honed skills to work as a valuable part of the IMS team.Keith attended Southern Illinois University, from which he received a BA in English and communication, as well as an MS and PhD in communication studies. Keith now resides in Chicago and is an avid hiker.
